Comments
[edit]I have added that she appears on a programme called "The Great British Food Revival" This is not the same as The Great British Bake Off, which has now had its final for 2012 - the article already said that she was a judge on that programme. ACEOREVIVED (talk) 23:38, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
Polio
[edit]I think it's probably worth adding that she suffered from Polio as a child and that this has had some permanent effects on her, as discussed in this article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2268531/Mary-Berry-reveals-coped-sons-tragic-death.html . I'll try to add that later 94.174.108.74 (talk) 13:03, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
Her name
[edit]Her full name is Mary-Rosa Alleyne Berry as seen on BBC Two's The Mary Berry Story, could be worth adding. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.9.43.75 (talk) 20:35, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
- Her actual name according to Companies House is "Mary Rosa Alleyne Hunnings", taking the name of her Husband. If you have a look at Mary Berry Ltd, the recent accounts are signed off by her as "Mary Hunnings" and signature in that style. Should this not be noted somewhere? [1] 86.157.24.101 (talk) 12:00, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
- I agree. I don't see why it should not be mentioned somewhere. Martinevans123 (talk) 12:08, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
Requested move 20 December 2014
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was moved. --BDD (talk) 16:49, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
– Most viewed page out of all entries. Enduring notability. Melonkelon (talk) 05:30, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
- Comment NOTE, I have requested that Mary Berry (writer) be renamed, as the food writer is also a writer, so "writer" is poor disambiguation. For the discussion, see talk:Mary Berry (writer) -- 67.70.35.44 (talk) 06:00, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
- Comment if this isn't moved, then Mary Berry bibliography should be moved to Mary Berry (food writer) bibliography, to match the main article. -- 67.70.35.44 (talk) 06:08, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support - here are the 90-day page view statistics (as of my timestamp below), to provide hard numbers for the nominator's rationale:
- Mary Berry (food writer): 31,932
- Mary Berry (DAB page): 2,180
- Mary Frances Berry: 2,109
- Mary Berry (writer): 912
- Mary Berry (conductor): 679
- Based on that, it looks like the food writer is a clear primary topic. Ibadibam (talk) 19:38, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
- Support, quick browse on Google search seems to support the claim that she is overwhelmingly the most well-known person of that name. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:49, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
Early Life Section
[edit]I have made Early Life into a section. It looks as though this was intended originally but not followed through. Strange,WP:SS seems clear on this point. Budhen (talk) 17:52, 11 July 2015 (UTC)

Residence
[edit]In the infobox Berry's residence was shown as "Henley-on-Thames, Buckinghamshire", which is incorrect by definition since Henley is in Oxfordshire. I'm aware that Berry lived until recently in Penn, Bucks, and is rumoured to be moving (or possibly has moved already) to Henley, but until someone can find a reliable citation either way, I suggest we leave this out (and even then add it only if the consensus is that her residence is actually of some relevance here, which I personally don't think it is). DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:21, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
- Yes the Henley Standard said that she had "recently bought a house" in June last year. That could be added. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:39, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
