...a kindly request

[edit]

Dear Wiki-colleagues,
I have recently received an eMail from Martina Filjak with the following content:

Dear Mr Ivankovic,

I sincerely thank you for your attention while editing the Wikipedia article about me. With this e-mail I would like to kindly request you and your colleagues to remove the date and year of birth from all the Wikipedia articles about me.The protection of this private data is of extreme and genuine importance for me at this present moment and I wholeheartedly hope you will be able to acknowledge and accommodate my request.
Warm regards

Martina Filjak

Of course, I'm familiar with the Wikipedia's Privacy policy regarding this matter (Wikipedia:DOB), but I'm also hoping, that there will be enough understanding and benevolence among all of you so that Martina's date and year of birth – at her own kindly request! – should not be published. Please, feel free to contact me through my user page or eMail if you need more proof that this is not some "childish game": Martina's request is a real thing... Thank you for your time and understanding. Sincerely, --Maestro Ivanković (talk) 17:06, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry but her birth date is easily verifiable in multiple sources, as you can see in references or in a very quick google research. So we must follow the policies you already linked: imagine what would happen if we start accepting such requests... We wouldn't have birth information in any kind of bio of living persons. So, please do not remove again birthday, especially without Wp:consensus. --Supernino (talk) 11:41, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No, WP:DOB is very clear:
If the subject complains about the inclusion of the date of birth, or the person is borderline notable, err on the side of caution and simply list the year.
Since the subject did complain about the inclusion of the date of birth, I'm removing the date, but leaving the year, per above. GregorB (talk) 20:47, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
