This article says Multics was developed in BCPL, whereas the Multics article says PL/1 and assembly. Which is correct? Loop west (talk) 10:30, 21 May 2010 (UTC) Jonathan[reply]

Multics Release 12.7 contains 62 source files in BCPL and 6816 source files in PL/1.
Of the BCPL files, the majority seem to be BCPL bindings for MULTICS system services.
The remainder seems to be the RUNOFF implementation. RUNOFF was created on CTSS (and hence predates BCPL), was inplemented on MULTICS initially in PL/1 and was later translated to BCPL, though I don't know when (this information from the roff(7) manual page).
