Plaut denies Wikipedia version
[edit]@Boud: This Twitter message from Plaut would be for you to investigate/address since you wrote the content in this article in the first place. Platonk (talk) 06:38, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Platonk: The source and the current text in #Anti-apartheid activities seem consistent to me. The tweet from Plaut says that (in his view of things) he was never an enemy of the ANC. A reasonable interpretation of Plaut's tweet would be that although the ANC wished to remove him and saw him as a threat, Plaut himself did not see this as a threat, because he was opposed to mono-party politics, and saw his promotion of multiple anti-apartheid groups as being in the interests of the ANC. In other words, he saw himself as an ally of the ANC despite the ANC trying to remove him from the Labour Party. There's no denial in the tweet of the ANC trying to remove him from the UK Labour Party. Boud (talk) 17:50, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Boud: Ok. I just didn't want to delve into it, and it seemed relevant that two people were bringing up this Wikipedia article. Figured you'd know what it was about. Platonk (talk) 19:54, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
