Death

[edit]

How did he die? I ask because it was such a young age.--Daniel (talk) 19:55, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to the German Wikipedia: "Martin Kippenberger starb am 7. März 1997 an den Folgen seines Alkoholkonsums in Wien." In other words, he died in Vienna of alcoholism. 38.115.185.13 (talk) 14:55, 29 August 2008 (UTC) LNelsonChicago[reply]

File:F 03.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:F 03.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:F 03.jpg)

I've always hated this picture and I don't understand why it is used for this article. There are many better images of Kippenberger—ones that aren't so horribly pixelated and are not so confusing, taking him as the subject, rather than someone appearing incidental at the left edge. I imagine that whatever image is used, one can claim fair use on educational grounds: it shows you what this significant artist looked like.SNDLLN (talk) 03:43, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
