Requested move
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was moved. Whether the article should be deleted is an entirely separate question. --BDD (talk) 16:19, 24 September 2012 (UTC) (non-admin closure)
Martin John Callanan (artist) → Martin John Callanan – I tried to move this manually but found that the article title had been salted after two AfDs (2008 and 2009). I proposed it for CSD G4 but an admin declined and informs me that "The article is not substantially the same as the deleted version." This article should therefore be moved to the base name for the article, as disambiguation is not required. PamD 06:47, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
- Speedy move - Per nom. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 06:58, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
- Comment - why not just propose this article for AfD. The only thing that has substantially changed is Callanan gaetting two brief mentions in news sources. The remainder of the references are to galleries supporting or displaying the artist. Sionk (talk) 22:08, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
Newspaper?
[edit]A one-off publication on newsprint, with an ISBN, is not a newspaper. Please stop reverting to this abuse of the English language, or explain the use of the word here, per WP:BRD. PamD 11:52, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- not one off, it's series. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sandisk16 (talk • contribs) 12:00, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
- Is there any evidence that it is a series? If not, please stop describing this entity as a newspaper. PamD 12:13, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
