Relating to this, the Personal Life section of this article, which by word count makes up more than half of the total article, has nothing in it beyond a long quote from Warfield about coming out or being outed. There are some concerns with this.
1) Warfield's sexuality is not at all what she is notable for--far from it. The coming out in question was decades after her starring in Night Court, her most notable (although far from her last) role. I question whether it should be given so much emphasis.
2) This quote has two references, 7 and 8. Reference 7 is to Facebook, which is obviously not a RS. Besides, when that link is followed, the FB post is gone. Reference 8 is to the MadameNoire website, which may or may not be reliable. Despite its claims to the contrary, it appears to be mostly about celebrity news and gossip. Besides that, the article in question is mostly about Luther Vandross, with a bit about Warfield at the end. It says, "In a Facebook post, she [Warfield] wrote," followed by a large blank space that looks like it may once have held the quote from Facebook. (It's conceivable that this blank space is a browser issue or something at my end.)
3) So, with all due respect for Warfield's honesty, my suggestions are a) ditch the Personal Life section altogether, or b) reduce it to one sentence IF a reliable source for it can be found. Dgndenver (talk) 14:05, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
