Consultant losses inaccurancies

[edit]

The InvestmentNews article by Aaron Siegel (http://www.investmentnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070911/REG/70911011) only provides the number of employees lost and does not mention the consultants at all. Side note: you have to be registered with InvestmentNews to be able to access the article at the present time. MMC's "Milestones of Marsh & McLennan Companies" page (http://www.mmc.com/about/history.php) states that "63 business associates" died in the attack. I changed the article to reflect the above, did some clean up editing as well. Tadiew (talk) 02:24, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thinkin a section of their locations would be of interest.[1]--Wikipietime (talk) 13:21, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

September 11 attacks survivor

[edit]

The article mentions that "Everyone present in the company's offices on the day of the attack died". However it seems there was one survivor in the building, Gerry Wertz, who was on his way up but still two floor below the 93rd.

His story is told in this USA TODAY article (http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/sept11/2002-09-04-elevator-usat_x.htm), which is already quoted in the "Casualties of the September 11 attacks" article for other info. Also he gave an interview about it just a few days ago (https://whdh.com/news/9-11-survivor-from-medford-recalls-harrowing-day-on-20th-anniversary-of-attacks/). And according to the preview of this book (https://books.google.com/books?id=EdE-nidlyq0C) there should be a section about him but I don't have access to it.

Now technically the wording in the article is correct since he wasn't yet present in the office. Should this info be added regardless? If there are no objections I would add "One employee, Gerry Wertz, survived the impact in an elevator on floor 91, where it had stopped on his way up. He evacuated over the stairs." at the end of the paragraph. 78.104.189.65 (talk) 00:50, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
