Marquand and Co.

[edit]

Hi all--

Very significant early nineteenth century silversmiths. Company was vying with Tiffany and Co. for dominance over the Gilded Age market. However, there's noting on Wikipedia about them.

Please help by adding any information you can. The Marquand family was instrumental in the development of Metropolitan Museum of Art, Princeton University's Art Program and Museum, as well as the special collections institution Pequot Library.

Their products and art can be found in numerous museum collections, including Telfair Museums and Metropolitan Museum of Art.

COI?

[edit]

Suitskvarts, on 30 Sep '23, while declining the submission, you added the review comment "See also WP:COI". COI isn't obvious to me. Would you care to elaborate? -- Hoary (talk) 22:12, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Hoary. The promotional language was of my concern. Sometimes quite old things affect the interests of contemporaries. Suitskvarts (talk) 16:11, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
