Maroons are mostly not American Indians. The Maroons of the US and Mexico are largely American Indian, but the Maroons of Suriname and the Caribbean are primarily of African descent. (I worked on a paper about the subject)--T. Anthony06:33, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
