Dick Hammer?
This page says that Dick Hammer died of prostate cancer. His Wikipedia page says that he died of lung cancer. Can someone clear this up? - 75.0.203.240 (talk) 04:02, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
Music
Part of the campaign's power was the music associated with the ads. Surely this should be mentioned. Was it composed for the ads, or was it lifted from some classical piece? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.91.65.59 (talk) 22:55, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Have a look around for some more information on it, it could be a good idea to add =) ? -- Ļıßζېấשּׂ~ۘ Ώƒ ﻚĢęخ (talk) 22:59, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
What Myth?
I don't find this sentence to be super clear:
"Death In the West" a Thames Television documentary,[6] was an exposé of the cigarette industry centered around the myth of the Marlboro Man that aired on British television in 1976.
What myth? The myth that the Marlobro man died from cancer? The myth that the Marlboro Man exists? The myth that smoking is cool? Or just the fact that the Marlboro Man is a fictional char?
Doggies
"Ropin' some doggies"??? What does that mean? I didn't think the Marlboro man raced the Iditarod.
Include this: Marlboro Man inspiration
I think it's over
I don't think the Marlboro Man is used in advertisements anymore...from stories I have read on the topic, 1999 was the final year he was used. Does anyone have evidence to the contrary? I noticed 1999 keeps being removed from the article. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 02:58, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
The "Marlboro Man", along with Joe Camel, were extinguished in the Master Settlement Agreement in the mid/late 90's. 71.72.217.102 22:34, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
The Marlboro Man is still used in direct mail advertisements from Philip Morris and on point-of-sale advertisments.
Graeme Dawson
First section say two deaths by lung cancer, later is three. Wich is right? --Boongoman 14:39, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Graeme Dawson is not listed in the models who portraited the Marlboro Man at the beginning of the article, hence why it says two ther ebut three later,. I have amended the article accordingly --PrincessBrat 21:37, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Who is this Graeme Dawson? Unlike McLaren and McLean I could not find anything mentioned about him on the internet or in a newspaper archive. I am removing the references to him on the assumption that this was inserted as a joke. Please re-insert if you have a credible reference. --Drono 04:58, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Image:Clarence Hailey Long, 1949.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
