[edit]I hope this page was not previously deleted. I created it because found it somehow wrong that the two, award-winning movies about this man have had much more devoted Wikipedia attention then the man himself, who was significant in various ways. Hope others can contribute to this page.Superwuster (talk) 03:57, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
In case it becomes necessary to defend this existence of this entry, I note that WP:AUTHOR Guideline #3 notes that a person who is subject to a feature length film about his work is notable. O'Brien has been the subject of one documentary, and one feature length film based on one of his works, so I think he qualifies; and I think the fact that the films won major awards helps the case. - I think he's clearly notable, as two award-winning movies have been made about his life. The sourcing is easy to find. Qworty (talk) 05:36, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
- I think it's fine, even tempted to thank you. Although Wikipedia's been around a fairly long time there's still notable people, even Americans, without articles. (I have a list that includes missing Americans and other lists) He was one.--T. Anthony (talk) 07:34, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
- Folks who knew Marko know that he was deserving of general recognition. His "interview" with Stephen Hawking, and his writing about his experience with a sex surrogate are modern literary and sociological treasures. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.215.115.31 (talk) 19:30, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
