Shigella boydii

[edit]

It turns out that ''Shigella boydii'' was isolated by Major J.S.K. Boyd of the British Royal Army Medical Corps in 1929. I see no connection with Mark Boyd. See (Lampel, Keith A.; Formal, Samual B.; Maurelli, Anthony Y. (January 2018). "A Brief History of Shigella". EcoSal Plus. 8. Discovery of the Dysentary Bacillus. And J.S.K. Boyd was John Boyd (bacteriologist). See ("Species: Shigella boydii". lpsn.dsmz.de. Retrieved 2022-08-19.).
