Next torpedoes?
[edit]Why no link to pages describing the torpedoes that replaced this one (Mark 37 / Mark 48)? John D. Goulden (talk) 18:13, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
Unsourced information
[edit]One or more unregistered users have repeatedly edited this article attempting to change performance characteristics of allegedly improved versions (or modifications abbreviated as Mod with a numerical suffix). I don't dispute that such variants may have existed. Wikipedia simply needs a reliable source for that information. Unfortunately, military secrecy makes such sources difficult to locate, because United States law encourages destruction of unneeded documents containing performance specifications of military hardware. While such information becomes militarily unimportant for obsolete hardware, the documentation remains classified unless someone with authority to do so declassifies the document. Declassification procedures discourage individuals with declassification authority from preserving these documents. These changes will continue to be reverted until a reliable source is provided for the changed information. Thewellman (talk) 19:18, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
