POV issues
[edit]I don't understand German, and since that's what it takes to understand the wording on his website just to try to add information there as a source, it isn't helpful.. because the only other reference focuses on his acting. When I read the tiny bit of text, I see this POV stuff, "While keeping away from the merely fashionable, Marius has nevertheless managed to reinvent himself every few years, and is popular.. I mean, really!! What is that? It sounds promotional like what would be in a personal website. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 21:53, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- I agree, this text is total crap. It has almost nothing to do with the German version of the article. This is a shame, considering that he is the second most successful German singing artist in Germany after Herbert Grönemeyer based on record certifications. Ich901 (talk) 22:12, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- The article says a song called "Johnny Walker" is probably his best-known song. I doubt that it can stand to "Freiheit." Anyway, without some data or quotations, it's just POV. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.179.19.22 (talk) 06:58, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
- Agreed. I just deleted that half-sentence about "Johnny Walker". --Martin de la Iglesia (talk) 14:47, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
Johnny Walker.
[edit]Johnny Walker is at least as much known as Freiheit. Anyone who has been his fan from the beginning knows it. But I would add Mit Pfefferminz, which is also widely known. 2.205.219.240 (talk) 21:38, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
- I doubt it (the Johnny Walker part). But feel free to bring up some reliable sources that support your claim.--Martin de la Iglesia (talk) 08:43, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
German language
[edit]I wouldnt agree on this paragraph: As a result of his singing which almost exclusively in German language in a country where pop and rock are primarily performed in English
In Germany german Songs easily kick english Hits from the first rank. Plus Germany has a big german rock and Pop culture, when it comes to german artists singing in German. I would suggest to have a look on that again before stating it like that. 2.205.219.240 (talk) 21:42, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
