Sea and Sun?

[edit]

This Sea and Sun meaning, while undoubtedly in the minds of some parents who bestow it, has nothing to do with the original meaning of the name, and the article as currently written confuses that. I will be changing this shortly if no one can explain why I should not. Unschool 02:28, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I mostly agree with you, BUT we shouldn't hurry. I doubt that all uses of the name are a shortening of "María de la Soledad", see for example the first person on the list, who used it as a stage name. Anyway I was bold and deleted the "y" to "i" nonsense. In case this was compound this change would be due to simple Spanish orthographic rules. I also find the confusion with sunflower highly questionable, it should be reworked, sourced, or erased. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.191.199.97 (talk) 16:03, 17 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
