At the moment I can't cite the sources with no author name in-text. I am not sure how to format that correctly. Does anyone else know how? CAndrews94 (talk) 00:51, 10 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the format to named footnotes, which is used more commonly on Wikipedia. I am keeping the list of Works Cited until the article is finished so that it is available. CAndrews94 (talk) 05:54, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliography

[edit]

Should we mention Hodgson's works as an author writing cook books? Not sure if it's notable enough to mention as a full bibliography section, but it could be mentioned under the Personal Life section. SeaGL (talk) 16:09, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Getting near the end

[edit]

@CAndrews94, TylerMcmillan, SeaGL, and Elizabeth.webb1: You've done some excellent work on your article, but nothing since July 12. First off, your refs are out of order and a bit redundant. Do you want to footnote full references or have a list in your works cited? You do not need both. Footnote indications need to be right up against the text; no space before a footnote. A lead section should summarize what appears in the article; you should save footnotes for the body of the article. All words in section headers should not be capitalized. The information in your article is pretty good (though maybe more is needed about her professional life), and you use internal links well. Why is the block quotation italicized? You're nearly there. —Grlucas (talk) 13:10, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Organizing

[edit]

Looking back over the article, I think we could reorganize the sections to something like: Early life and education, WASP/career, Later life, honors and awards.TylerMcmillan (talk) 19:07, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am trying this 'Biography' with subheadings approach which as been done on some similar articles with short sections. The 'Military career' section still needs expansion and the subheadings should probably be renamed, but I'm just seeing how it works for now. CAndrews94 (talk) 15:59, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review

[edit]

I like how your article is coming along. There is fascinating information. I never would have imagined that anyone who started off so afraid of flying that they had to turn the plane around would end up as a pilot. PattyLowery (talk) 22:11, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I like the formatting of the article. It felt like a sweet love story at the end seeing how she sent him letters while he was in the hospital. Walkera143 (talk) 4:43, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
