Marine viruses
[edit]Subsections of this section need a reorg:
- archaean viruses are treated twice (as phages in the first subsection, and also in the second section). Moreover
- as phages are viruses tha second subsection should be confined to erkariotic viruses then
- giant viruses ara all NCLDVs (Nucleocytoviricota). That isthe 3rd subsection in part/special case of the second.
- tailed phages (Caudovirales) may be not the most abundand viruses in the oceans as untailed phages (candidate „Autolykiviridae“ [1][2][3][4] may be more, see paper of Kauffman et al.
