VivianDarkbloom's reversions
[edit]Vivian, I don't understand the reason for your reversions. The story of Delany and Hacker's marriage is told in Delany's autobiography. I don't see a problem with SparsityProblem's edits. Can you explain what you're up to...? SethTisue 23:54, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- I added a quotation from The Motion of Light in Water that elaborates on their marriage. Since this is a biographical article, the relevant thing is that Hacker and Delany believed that laws against interracial marriage would be an obstacle to their being married in New York, so I've clarified the language to say that. SparsityProblem 01:00, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- But that's not what the quotation says, as is apparent if you read it carefully. Chip says that no states which allowed interracial marriage also allowed couples of their age to marry (without parental consent). New York didn't have laws against interracial marriage in 1960, 1950, or at any other time. The newspaper article who misread is about Virginia's laws. VivianDarkbloom 22:31, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry that I misread the article. It wasn't clear to me from your comments exactly what you were claiming was inaccurate. SparsityProblem 12:45, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

I have restored the deleted text but without the claim about New York. SethTisue 03:41, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Ghazals
[edit]Ghazals of MH are mentioned in the French article on Ghazals:
ou bien il rime avec ses homologues des autres shers comme dans les ghazals de Marilyn Hacker3 (Desperanto : Poems, 1999, 2002).
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghazal
Should this be mentioned? Hacker is not mentioned in Ghazal
