The Cat
[edit]Didn't Marie also pencil The Cat? If you don't recall, it was a short-lived series, about three issues, that eventually morphed into the appearance of Tigra in Creatures on the Loose. --squadfifteen, 19/10/05

Article changes
[edit]I added a citation to the first paragraph, and also changed the second paragraph, about Severin's life at Marvel, a little for clarity and accuracy. I corrected for the fact that all three heros would join the Defenders, while trying to make it clear to a causal reader they they all had their own books prior to that. In addition, I removed the word "early" from the description of the books she worked on concerning these characters, since Sub Mariner, at least, was already a well-established character by the time Ms Severin got involved with his book (a quick look at Mariner's own wiki-page will tell you that he's been around since 1939).... Also, I'm not sure that there's anything particularly ironic about the fact that Severin didn't work on the Defenders, despite the fact that she worked on these characters' earlier books, but I left that as it was. Finally, I have no idea whether or not she worked on The Cat. Maybe someone else can help out with that one. Buck 22:32, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, I've done a bit of web-based research and found out that, not only did Severin work on The Cat, as well as many other Marvel titles, she also did, in fact contribute work to the Defenders book. I've made the relevant changes--which included removing that questionable use of the word irony that I mentioned above--and added links to a couple of web sites. Buck 23:19, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Illustration
[edit]While Marie was known for her cartooning, she was much more prominent during the Silver Age for her superhero work. I'm thinking the illustration for the section "Silver Age" would be more appropriately a superhero cover, rather than a cover from a short-lived (13 issues, I believe) humor book. Thoughts? --Tenebrae (talk) 17:29, 9 December 2017 (UTC)
- I agree, that would make more sense.★Trekker (talk) 06:10, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
