Read the text about Maria of Montpellier again! Then you hopefully see that the author believes that Peter II of Aragon wanted to marry Maria of Montferrat, to get Jerusalem and Montpellier. He "imediatly attempted to divorce" Maria Montpellier. They married 1204 and 1208 Maria Montpellier give birth to Peter II of Aragons son! Obviously the author does not know what he talks about. Maria of Montferrat was born 1192 and no sooner than 1209 did they seek a husband to her...but not Peter II of Aragon, who had enough to do home..
