Giveaway on age

[edit]
  • Margaret Houlihan was apparently born 1920; entered nursing college in 1938; graduated as a nurse and entered the service 1942; by 1952 in service 10 years. By the end of Korean War she would have been 33 years old at least. Ironicaly Loretta Swit when she began playing "Houlihan" by 1972 was 35-considerbly older than the fictional person she was portraying! Her hair turning from blond to white is a giveaway on age—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 134.53.145.184 (talk) 18:06, 30 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]
Amusingly, in one episode Radar implies that she is or looks older than his 39 year old sister, LOL.132.160.43.102 (talk) 01:35, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

O'Houlihan

[edit]

There seems to be a misconception that Margaret's last name is O'Houlihan in the film. Henry twice calls her O'Houlihan and the General also does this twice. I'm not sure whether it's an oversight or a gag, but these are the only occurrences. In every other instance she's referred to as Houlihan. The screenplay refers to her as Houlihan, and in the film when she signs her and Frank's report to the General, she reads her name as Margaret J. Houlihan. I didn't change the article; I'm afraid everyone will freak out. I would like to change this article and the MASH (film) article, if everyone agrees. Donnie Love 02:13, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Charlie Brown

[edit]

The article says:

having a Charlie Brown "record of losing" every competition game against the USMC!}

Perhaps this should be clarified. I'm sure I'm not the only person who has no idea how Charlie Brown is relevant here.

wait, I think they misspelled it,

[edit]

I think they misspelled her last name, because there's been three times, as far as I know, that an american has called her major hooligan, so It could be something like, "houlighan" I think. Just like how it said "mulcaehy" in the credits. BTW: I have an account, I just forgot it! sorry!- Hidn_shadows70.136.142.54 (talk) 19:29, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
