[edit]Question: should this article have saint after it? i.e. Margaret Ball (saint) ? --VikÞor | Talk 07:26, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Answer - no, she wasn't a saint and there was no such title as "Mayoress" but "wife of the Mayor" would be OK.86.46.230.9 (talk) 07:22, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- The term Lady Mayoress was used at the time ClemMcGann (talk) 12:23, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry but the title "Lord Mayor of Dublin" was only created in 1665. She lived about 100 years before that.86.46.223.130 (talk) 13:23, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- Prior to 1665 it was Mayor, however his wife was known as Lady Mayoress ClemMcGann (talk) 01:26, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Answer - no, the Blessed Margaret Ball has not been canonized, but if it is necessary to distinguish her from other Margaret Balls perhaps the name of the article should be "Margaret Ball (martyr)." AuH2ORepublican (talk) 19:28, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
