Mistake!

[edit]

It's "Пој, пој, Дрино водо хладна ти" no "Пој, пој, Дрино хладна водо ти". (Djole93bg (talk) 10:56, 13 October 2010 (UTC)).[reply]

The title

[edit]

Shouldn't the title be The March to Drina, and not The March on the Drina. They are not marching on the river, they are marching to get to the river. The March on the Drina would mean Mars na Drini, and The March to Drina means Mars na Drinu. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.246.48.55 (talk) 23:45, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The title

[edit]

" However, due to the highly flammable nature of the events in the Yugoslav civil wars and especially the neighboring Bosnian war, it was never officially adopted."

What is the source of this information. This was not reason at all. Reason was strong opposition to any other anthem but traditional one in major cities and intellectual circles. It was attempt of Milosevic to pass the anthem that was not in any sens related to mentioning of monarchy or king but was more popular in nature.

It is very common everywhere that people favor tradition anthem versus any melody even if this was popular march. It is still just a march

Rare example was Russian anthem, but it was anthem not a march and instead of reverting to imperial one they decided to go back with Soviet one.... simply for its power and beauty! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.136.9.4 (talk) 11:05, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
