Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it has interwiki to German and Norwegian.
There are more references about his actions under gunfire, including
http://www.dagbladet.no/2011/07/24/nyheter/innenriks/terror/utoya/anders_behring_breivik/17436710/</ref>, Norway.--Høvel (talk) 09:41, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- An awful tragedy, it was, but one event doesn't make him notable. Has he appeared in reliable news sources prior the one event? -- MST☆R (Chat Me!) 09:42, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- A third user has previously voiced the notability of the subject: "Seems notable enough to me, given the number of sources and the fact that he was awarded the Verdienstkreuz 1. Klasse. ... The matter seems to be closed for now. (Because, in the article there is no longer any notification of proposed deletion.)--155.55.60.112 (talk) 10:43, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- I know; I removed it, as I felt that it was notable enough. Thank you, -- MST☆R (Chat Me!) 10:46, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]I don' think there's much doubt about his notability. His actions were reported all over the world. Below are references to some of the media reports about him in various countries. He was also awarded several honours, including the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany Officers Cross (i.e. the third level, not just the simple medal), a German national award, given to him personally by the President of Germany.
- "People are likely to be notable if they meet any of the following standards: . . .
- The person has received a well-known and significant award or honor, or has been nominated for one several times."
Though a foreign national, he was one of three people to share the honour of being named "Norwegian of the Year" by the Norwegian magazine (Ny Tid).

Linking to the article about Gleffe
[edit]In the article, 2011_Norway_attacks#Rescue_and_emergency_response, Marcel Gleffe is mentioned, but his name is not linked to the article about him.
Ought something to be done about that? (IP-editors such as myself, can not edit that article.) --155.55.60.112 (talk) 10:33, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

How many minutes did his rescue operation last
[edit]Are there any links that say what time he started his boat ride from Utvika camping, and what time he stopped?--Riambrid (talk) 10:22, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
"The first" or "one of the first"
[edit]In another article (link [1]) he is mentioned as "One of the first person to arrive on the scene".
Are there any references that say that he was the first?--Riambrid (talk) 10:31, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

Medal?
[edit]I don't get this line: Gleffe has until now received 4 citations of merit in his nation of birth, also from the president of Germany, but no citations of merit in the nation where he resides — and where he saved over 20 lives. According to Dagens Nyheter he recieved a medal from the Norwegian government: http://www.dn.se/nyheter/varlden/utoyas-hjaltar-far-medalj — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.224.104.22 (talk) 21:33, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
