Draft title

[edit]

Given the main character's multiple personalities, should this draft (as well as the corresponding redirect) be titled Marc Spector (Marvel Cinematic Universe), or Moon Knight (Marvel Cinematic Universe), or something else? InfiniteNexus (talk) 03:45, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

All of the identities do go by Moon Knight, and Steven Grant seems to be the main character of the identities so far in this series, so I would say Moon Knight (Marvel Cinematic Universe) or Moon Knight (Marvel Cinematic Universe character) would be best. Anything else, focusing on one identity over the other, would be undermining them and I believe quite offensive to actual people with DID. MandoWarrior (talk) 04:03, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This seems reasonable enough. Like, I’m not sure measuring screentime for which personality appears most would be the best use of our time, and honestly a waste. The addition of character to the disambiguating parenthetical does have a case, though whether it alone supplants the inclusion of a hattip could also become part of the discussion CreecregofLife (talk) 04:12, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Restored the name of the article to the original name before the undiscussed moves by Mando. Regarding the name, the series comes out in a few days. Wait and see how its treated there and then revisit this issue. Gonnym (talk) 06:28, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, I do not like that they jumped the gun like that CreecregofLife (talk) 07:09, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you guys ever saw a newish account making edits like MandoWarrior, theyre probably another sock. Happy editing peeps. 152.165.67.107 (talk) 12:50, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at the investigation page and the specific account wasn’t mentioned, I was hoping to see a more detailed description of the links and hints that got the account caught CreecregofLife (talk) 13:57, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Army vs. Marines

[edit]

Where was it shown or said that Marc was in the Army as opposed to the Marines like in the comics? All I ever remember him saying was military, not any specific branch. -- Zoo (talk) 23:08, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to be resolved. – SirDot (talk) 16:49, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
His affiliation in the infobox says army, which is what I noticed originally. -- Zoo (talk) 17:16, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
 Done. – SirDot (talk) 17:19, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mainspace

[edit]

What needs to be done to this draft before it is released as an article? TNstingray (talk) 02:01, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Well, for starters, you'll notice there's a {{Unsourced section}} tag, several empty sections in Characterization, and a blank Reception section. InfiniteNexus (talk) 05:07, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Why the page was moved into mainspace without a discussion? Redjedi23 (talk) 12:04, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It passes WP:GNG and can be further expanded in the mainspace. -- ZooBlazertalk 17:38, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox image

[edit]

How do we want to handle the image? Just Marc, or stitch 3 images together (if we can do that), or maybe this image with Marc and Steven, plus add Jake as well? -- ZooBlazertalk 06:26, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think a composite image of the three alters would work best, akin to what is done for Bruce Banner (Marvel Cinematic Universe) and James Rhodes (Marvel Cinematic Universe), and have that Marc and Steven one on top and this Jake Lockley one on bottom to showcase their different designs. Trailblazer101 (talk) 13:58, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
 Done -- ZooBlazertalk 16:10, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Suit posters

[edit]

If we're gonna include the posters to represent the suits, then they need to be sourced from somewhere that's not the MCU fandom/wiki. They can always be replaced by stills like on the series' article. -- ZooBlazertalk 17:14, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:FREER we should use a screenshot rather than the posters Redjedi23 (talk) 17:39, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
FREER doesn't say that, nor is this required in my experience. InfiniteNexus (talk) 18:14, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps what I'm more concerned with is that these are doctored versions of the character posters, not the official ones. Somebody on the Internet probably Photoshopped out the logos and text and then posted it on the fan wiki. Also, the suits are going to need commentary in order to satisfy FUR. InfiniteNexus (talk) 18:14, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can we just bring the info over from the series article with attribution? -- ZooBlazertalk 18:33, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that would work. InfiniteNexus (talk) 18:37, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I would prefer the screenshots over doctored promos from the fan wiki. Trailblazer101 (talk) 19:16, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Me too. Redjedi23 (talk) 19:39, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I just brought over the relevant costume info from the series article and made a design section here. -- ZooBlazertalk 00:21, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That looks good to me. The coverage from the series article is great to have here. I have added the non-free use rationale required for the use of both images in this article, and have also tagged the prior images for orphaned deletion. Trailblazer101 (talk) 01:49, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Harrow

[edit]

In the portrayal section, it is mentioned that Marc is played by Ethan Hawke as Dr. Harrow. Can you clarify it? JEDIMASTER2008 (talk) 07:19, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

minus Removed That should not have been there to begin with. Trailblazer101 (talk) 07:32, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion - Richard Newby's comment

[edit]

Richard Newby's comment re the latino ethnicity vs. caucasian-jewish, ( Casting and appearances section) perpetuates the BLURRING, between religion and ethnicity and it's estimations / time-flawed nature. Replace it with another?

i.e. there is a lot MORE, to casting, then ethnicity., how about the actor's ability to convey confusion, hesitation, etc, right, for a DID character? i.e. MOST of acting, is your ACTUAL ABILITY TO ACT,

not anticipatory-'preventative'(of criticism) identity-casting 'reasons'.

A similar irony exists in those who wish to see OTHER ENEMIES of Egypt over the eons, to be also preferred, AS-WELL-AS jewish, for instance, but that call for EQUITY, gets mis-labelled as anti-semitic, etc. Nuh-uh. Equity's equity.

i.e.

If the casting was for his ACTING abilities, let's hear about that then! 120.18.62.115 (talk) 18:38, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
