The wine theft story, while it is referred to in the sourced article, seems rather dubious...

  • The same source article notes that details of the 2010 diplomatic immunity cited were never released, and that it was simply "understood" to be related to the wine accusations.
  • Secondly, the source itself notes that the accusations were never confirmed.
  • Finally, the wikipedia article directly quotes the source as evidence for the accusations, while the article is in fact a speculative piece about diplomatic immunity. Considering wikipedia's policy on reliable sources, this doesn't seem to "directly support the information as it is presented in the article".

Given the lack of evidence or pursuit of the accusations, it seems questionable to include them in this article. Importemps (talk) 09:10, 31 May 2013 (UTC) You just need to search "Marc fonbaustier voleur de vins" then you will find so many articles relative about this. But it seems, this guy get support from influent people, because his french wikipedia page has been deleted. Moreover, you can see that he spent a lot of energy to make many websites about wine and about his name in order to diluate the serp of Google. But obviously this bad story will follow him forever. The next question is how a guy like this with this kind of background can be promoted to ambassador of Togo. This is a real shame for France and French people. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:41D0:FE43:4300:C14D:D5B8:D50D:6105 (talk) 00:22, 6 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
