Removed this part, I dont think it is important.

Editorial Content & Town Politics

[edit]

I happened upon this page today and found it to be trashed by folks who would like to take their anonymous opinions of specific Maquoketans to a user-maintained reference site- for shame. I removed the offending content (check history if you have any questions) and will continue to do so. Note that I am not involved with any of those listed; I am a 3rd party interested in updating and maintaining the page of my adopted hometown in a manner that suits Wikipedia. Sections that should be created

[edit]

I do not create sections very well so i think someone should make one about Clinton Engines in Maquoketa and how it affected maquoketa after it left and also a section about the arts in addition, a section about the fire of january 19th 2008. Anyone who even makes an attempt to do this will be given my sincerest thanks.--Treymeister (talk) 02:34, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Other Notable Maquoketans

[edit]

Dr. Richard B. Wells, author, inventor, and professor of electrical engineering & neuroscience at the University of Idaho, was born in Maquoketa. http://www.mrc.uidaho.edu/~rwells/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.33.87.96 (talk) 21:06, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The link for Thomas Heller is to the famous author, whose Wikipedia entry makes no mention of Maquoketa. The item also references a cast member, "drone pilot 6," in the movie "Rotor DR1," but the IMDB entry for this movie lists no cast member by this name. This is, at best, a confusing link. I'm unwilling to edit the entry, but someone should probably look into it.
