[edit]The only source I found said Pierce liked "New Hampshire Fried Pies". ChildofMidnight (talk) 06:03, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- The reference is clearly conjecture as to President Pierce, stating that he "would have been familiar with the recipe" cited. It's an OK reference for the recipe, but not for the president. Geoff T C 22:54, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- I agree. I found that reference later. It's pretty weak, but I suppose it will do. I'm more interested in Fried pies... Are you going to get to work on the Spice cake article so we can merge this baby? ChildofMidnight (talk) 23:27, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- I did add a couple of fairly decent references to Spice cake and cleaned up the intro a little. What more is there to say? I suppose we could go into origins and history, but beyond that - hey, it's a cake! Geoff T C 18:50, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
