Colourless?

The photo is of the tetrahydrate, MnSO₄·4H₂O.

The CRC handbook's table Physical Constants of Inorganic Compounds lists the following:

MnSO₄, 7785-87-7, white orthorhombic crystals

MnSO₄·H₂O, 10034-96-5, red monoclinic crystals

MnSO₄·4H₂O, 10101-68-5, red monoclinic crystals
