The article title is misspelled. The name has an i, not an ı in Turkish: Bali. In Ottoman, it is بالی , romanized Bâlî, with a long vowel i, not the vowel ı. Just compare the title of the equivalent webpage in the Turkish Vikipedi: Malkoçoğlu Bali Bey. This has i. The error in the English Wikipedia doubtless came about through a well-meaning hypercorrection by someone who doesn't know Turkish, or perhaps through a copy-and-paste error involving uppercase I being lowercased to ı inadvertantly.
I don't know how to edit a title... Is a regular editor is even allowed do this? So I leave the change for more experienced Wikipedia editors. Mardinli Deli (talk) 10:12, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed this problem, and to the best of my abilities, I fixed all the links pointing to this page. I have almost no experience in editing the Wikipedia so I have probably made errors in some way. I am sure in due course someone will send me a message to this effect. Mardinli Deli (talk) 12:08, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
