Malaspina of Prègola and Varzi
[edit]@EDG 543: @Praxidicae: @Spiderone: @Coolabahapple: @JJMC89: @Kbabej: Hi! I'm sorry to bother you once more, but as you spoke in the deletion page of the Malaspinas...you may be of help here. I'm trying to see if any of you has a digital print or pdf of any of the books in the bibliography of this article (Branchi, Burla, Caciagli, Fiori or Guagnini). Beacsue I can't find any good book online and free with a full genealogy of the Malaspinas. I'm trying hard for the branches of Varzi, Prègola and derivatives; The genealogy presented by Pompeo LITTA (1855, URL) in Gallica presents some contradictions with later works (for example, in this site somes names given in the partitions presented for Varzi doesn't match with those LITTA gives. If I had one of the authors above (which I believe that has a more complete and recent genealogies for the family) I could finish the edit of this article. Note the work I'm doing it's not original research: I'm based in LITTA (which are in the most part correct, except he doesn't mention Prègola lines and Varzi has the problem exposed above) and BRANCHI (vol II, the only one I found online). I could use some help here. If you want, you can help. So, I'm asking once more: does any of you have any of the authors pointed above? Thank you in advance. Greetings, Mhmrodrigues (talk) 19:43, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hello Mhmrodrigues. Please be aware the other page was deleted because WP is WP:NOTGENEALOGY, and you should not be simply copying that information over to this page. —Kbabej (talk) 19:46, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, Kbabej, don't worry, it's not a genealogy. It's a table of rulers. Just condensing the info spread in the page in a table and adding some more (based in authors). Hope you like it! By the way, did you read my request? Do you have at least one of these authors in the bibliography? I would really need one of them to improve the page... Mhmrodrigues (talk) 20:34, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- Kbabej By the way, you don't have any of the authors that I've mentioned, do you? Mhmrodrigues (talk) 16:38, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
- I’m sorry, I do not. —Kbabej (talk) 17:00, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
- hi Mhmrodrigues, i don't have access to any of the info that you are after but thanks for asking. Coolabahapple (talk) 01:40, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you again, Coolabahapple. Mhmrodrigues (talk) 16:38, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
And you, @EDG 543: @Praxidicae: @Spiderone: @JJMC89:? Does any of you have one or more of the authors I've mentioned? If you have, can you share it here, please? Thank you once more in advance. Greetings, Mhmrodrigues (talk) 16:38, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
@EDG 543: @Praxidicae: @Spiderone: @JJMC89:, I still have no answers from you. Do I need to remember that the section is under construction and can't be like this forever? Hope you can help me as soon as possible. Greetings, and thank you in advance. Mhmrodrigues (talk) 15:38, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't have access to any of that genealogy info. Apologies. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 15:45, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Mhmrodrigues: No, I don't think I will be of much assistance in this. Any information you have access to is likely more than I have. Sorry to disappoint, but I'm sure if you dig deep enough into the internet, you will be able to find the information you seek. Thanks, EDG 543 (message me) 15:58, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
@Genericusername57: @Spaicol: Sorry for bothering you, but I saw recently that you were involved in the translation and peer review of the Malaspina page, and, given that, maybe you can help. I redirect you the request I made above in my first comment (then directed to the six people involved in the deletion of the page "Family tree of the Malaspina family"). Do you have any authors pointed above, about the Malaspina family? As I mentioned, the online books about the family with complete and decent studies are very rare or incomplete (only found the volume II of Branchi's work on the family, and a study of Litta, who doesn't present some branches and also have some contradictions with Branchi). I redirect you once more for the first comment, for more details about the reasons of the request. If you have something reliable and complete, can you share, please? Thank you in advance. "Not extinct" claim
[edit]The claim that this house is "not extinct" appears to be a lie.
If it really was not extinct, there would be no need to write those words; instead, you would write the name of the current head of the house.
But when a house like this has no legitimate claim of ruling anywhere or owning anything, what is the point? It becomes only a genealogy, and genealogy is a private family matter. Nobody cares who is the uncle of who, unless they have done notable things themselves. Having notable ancestors does not make a person worth writing about. Having notable ancestors does not make a group of people worth writing about, either.
If I proved I was a direct legitimate descendant of Julius Caesar, or Childeric I, it might be exciting for me, but it would be worthless to everyone else. (It would be much better for me if I could prove I was the son of Bill Gates; at least I might receive something worthwhile besides mere excitement.) TooManyFingers (talk) 05:33, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
Reversions in Malaspina page
[edit]- Hi, @Ohnoitsjamie: @Drmies:! I would like to know the reasons why my edits are disruptive. I understand that the Malaspina table of rulers in long, but how can I repurpose it? I wouldn't like to trash out my work. Also, as you can see above, I did try to ask for sources, and no one could help me. Greetings, Mhmrodrigues (talk) 19:43, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
