Infobox/Lead

[edit]
  • When was the song released?
  • The lead seems a bit short. Surely it can be expanded upon a bit more.
    • Expanded the lede to include elements of song's composition.
  • "Make Your Move" met with positive critical reception and peaked at No. 43 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart and at No. 12 on the Billboard Christian CHR chart. --> How about an example of said positive reception? For example, "'Make Your Move' received generally positive acclaim from music critics, who called it their best song they have ever done in their entire 50 year career." Also, number is spelled out.
  • Looking ahead in the article, where is the citation that the song was released as a single?
  • No source for the Christian rock genre.

Background and composition

[edit]
  • I don't really see why "Background" is needed for the title, seeing as how none of this is background information about what went on before the song was produced/released.
  • It was produced and programmed by Paul Moak; Moak also handled engineering along with Andy Hunt. --> It was produced and programmed by Paul Moak, while Moak recorded the vocals for the song with Andy Hunt.
    • Corrected but noted the engineering. 13:39, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
  • with the non-believer urging "You got love and I got time / Won't you make a move before I change my mind". --> Need a colon after urging.

Reception

[edit]
  • Andree Farias of Allmusic selected the song as a 'Track pick' off of Move. --> Would it not be better to just state that Andree labelled it as the best song of the album?
    • Well, he also selected two other songs as track picks so that really wouldn't work. I could say that he labeled it as one of the best songs off the album, though. Toa Nidhiki05 13:42, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Chris Carpenter of Christian Broadcasting Network regarded it as "a foot-thumping rocker that will fuel any commute or long car ride",[7] C. E'Jon Moore of The Christian Manifesto praised the song as "a rock solid, in-your-face number",[8] and also stated that "Make Your Move" is "a testament to Third Day’s versatility as a Christian band. They pull no punches about their faith, but they also create music that is accessible to most people who like rock & roll." --> Way too long of a sentence.
  • Again with using "no." instead of "number".
  • Billboard magazine --> No need to state magazine.

Live performances and usage in media

[edit]
  • Third Day premiered "Make Your Move" live at a concert in Tualatin, Oregon several months before the release of Move. --> Third Day premiered "Make Your Move" live during a concert in Tualatin, Oregon, several months prior to the release of Move. -- Do we have a date?
  • They also performed the song at a concert in Joplin, Missouri on March 20, 2011; Third Day later released the live recording, along with the rest of the concert, with all proceeds going toward relief for the tornado that had struck Joplin several months earlier. --> Two separate sentences.
