FYI
[edit]Just an FYI, now that the All-Star Game MVP list is winding down it's FLC and I've been pounding my limited bandwidth at school recently (so I want to cool it with image editing, which requires giant file transfers) I'm going to pick up this list to work on. So, if you can, please avoid any massive edits in the near future. Staxringold talkcontribs 21:47, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
- Have at it; this was the one list in this series that I've been avoiding like the plague. KV5 (Talk • Phils) 01:53, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- Really? Seems straight forward to me. Staxringold talkcontribs 01:59, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- I really prefer to write lists from scratch. I hate to fight with other people's formats. Beyond that, I didn't want the task of going through the list and removing all of those "span" tags to get the teams to stop sorting by team name. No other lists do that. KV5 (Talk • Phils) 15:40, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- Here's a question for you, how should you sort teams with changing names? The Brooklyn / Los Angeles Dodgers, for example, should they be all under LA (current name), or the Brooklyn's under B and the LA's under LA? Staxringold talkcontribs 16:01, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- I always just sort them as listed; the player was on a single team in this context. Though he was a member of a franchise, I don't think that makes a huge difference in the long run for an individual award like this. On List of Philadelphia Phillies Opening Day starting pitchers, they all just sort in alpha order. KV5 (Talk • Phils) 16:35, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
One citation in place of 140+
[edit]http://www.baseball-reference.com/awards/roy_rol.shtml It can be cited once, and the point of citation is just to clearly indicate a source to a reader, not to produce endless footnotes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Philosofool (talk • contribs) 14:53, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
National League Winners
[edit]I am using Wikipedia on my smart phone and have noticed that the entire section of National League winners is not showing in the main article for some reason. Does anyone have any clue why? Stubbleboy 22:43, 26 October 2015 (UTC) Stubbleboy 22:43, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
This needs to be updated as Dodger Corey Seager won for 2016 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:7E1F:EF00:C523:24CB:A323:579F (talk) 08:17, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
