Confusing sentence

[edit]

"After the deaths of several hundred people Makaniki retreated to Cameroon, where he remained until 2004 when he was arrested in Nigeria." That is a bit irritating. How can he be arrested in Nigeria, when he was still in Cameroon at that time? The sentence should be revised a bit. 112.198.90.204 (talk) 11:30, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Boko Haram an offshoot of Maitasine???

[edit]

Maitasine was a militant quranist movement. it had nothing to do with wahabist- bokoharam. if any thing bokoharam is an offshoot of JIBWIS and other Saudi funded organisations — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.62.133.65 (talkcontribs) 15:20, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I just read the article that's listed as a source for saying that Maitasine is a continuation of Boko Haram and I didn't see it even mention the Maitasine movement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.242.49.69 (talk) 15:17, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace

[edit]

The article says that he was born in Marwa, at one time part of Cameroun. I wonder if it is Maroua? Bokoharamwatch (talk) 19:00, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
