To Be Fair

[edit]

If Christian wasn't really in, then we need to exclude other forced members in other factions: (The Kat/RTC, Abyss/Coalition) KP McZiggy (they talk 2 me) 06:19, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That doesn't belong here. Just because it isn't done on one page doesn't mean it has be done on another. Cage was never official. He was beaten down before even being placed in the stable.--WillC 06:32, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
He was put into the stable then beaten down, that's what the suit (that he threw out) and ceremony was for. KP McZiggy (they talk 2 me) 00:09, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
But he is not an official member. They had the ceremony to beat him down not to induct him. He was never referred to as a member.--WillC 05:51, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wow. I really need a Tivo right about now. Well, at least put something in the article about it. He was just another jump like on Petey or Bubba Ray. He had a story behind it. KP McZiggy (they talk 2 me) 07:42, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It will when I rewrite the article soon. It is too troubling at the moment to get the reliable tv results and make a comprehensive note that follows the project's style guide.--WillC 04:24, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

MEM Security

[edit]

They should be at least mentioned, does anyone agree? KP McZiggy (they talk 2 me) 01:07, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, because they only accompany The Main Event Mafia to the ring (pretty much only Kurt Angle). They don't do anything notable (except for when Rocco face Eric Young), but that was only one match, and plus there not members of The Main Event Mafia anyway, end of discussion. Save Us.Y2J 00:28, April 18 2009 (UTC)

I disagree. They should be mentioned. They are a part of the MEM. If Jenna Morasca is mentioned, MEM should be. They've done much more. They're always on camera. And they've wrestled enough matches. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.230.214.207 (talk) 06:24, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with above, they should be mentioned. Big Rocco and Sally Boy are in the Mafia —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.43.176.142 (talk) 10:48, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There is no source that they are considered members of the MEM. TJ Spyke 18:08, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sting fires them from the MEM on 5/28/09's iMPACT. If they weren't in the Mafia, they could not be fired. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.230.214.207 (talk) 04:32, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not necissarily. In real life a company can hire security guards as independent contractors, they aren't considered to be employees of the company. TJ Spyke 04:38, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WTF?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[edit]

THIS IS BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!! WHEN SOMEONE DOES THE MAIN EVENT MAFIA ARTICLE, IT'S OK, BUT WHEN I DO THE MAIN EVENT MAFIA ARTICLE IT'S NOT OK?!!!!!!!!! YA'LL SOME SOME UNGRATEFUL CREATURES!!!!!!!!!!!! The King Gemini (talk) 20:51, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First, stop shouting because it makes you look like a jackass and people will be less likely to listen. Second, I don't know when you supposedly created the article but you probably did it before they were notable. Groups can take awhile to become notable. TJ Spyke 21:13, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I just checked and saw you made a article on the same night they were formed, that is why. They would not be considered notable that night. TJ Spyke 21:14, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You ain't gotta call me a jackass. I did the article when they became a group. The King Gemini (talk) 22:05, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't say you were a jackass, I said your poor Internet etiquette made you look like a jackass. I also pointed out that the MEM wasn't even close to being notable when you created the article. TJ Spyke 22:23, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Uh, yeah they were. Right after Scott Steiner joined the Mafia. The King Gemini (talk) 18:05, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How? By just existing doesn't make it notable. Shark Boy and Eric Young teamed together for a bit, but they certainly aren't notable. It takes time and events to determine notability for most articles.--WillC 18:32, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why doesn't the see also include the nWo thats pretty much precisely what they are if you look at the progression of both stables the similarities are mindbogglingWrestlings Savior (talk) 00:06, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Championships

[edit]

does the article need to show the titles they have gotten since they were a stable or all through there careers? 65.0.54.193 (talk) 01:42, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just titles they won while members of the group (and only titles won where the group is active, so if Steiner won a title in Combat Zone Wrestling it would not be listed here). TJ Spyke 02:07, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Infighting in the group

[edit]

Just noticed there has been no mention of the recent feud in the group between Kurt Angle and Sting. Would this not be relevant to the article? 90.203.237.114 (talk) 10:06, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think we do week-by-week storyline recaps, do we? 69.136.13.211 (talk) 01:39, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Table or List of MEM Godfathers

[edit]

I think we should have a table or list highlighting the Godfathers of the Main Event Mafia. Kurt Angle was Godfather from October 23, 2008 to May 24, 2009. Sting is now the Godfather from May 24, 2009 to present. 70.68.139.248 (talk) 18:16, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why? It's not something that would change often enough that a table is needed and it's already mentioned in the article. TJ Spyke 18:24, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Actually it does because Kurt Angle is the Godfather again. 70.68.139.248 (talk) 02:51, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No he isn't, he's just claiming to be. Sting officially became leader last month, Angle can't just claim to be leader again. Even if Angle became leader again, it wouldn't matter. Mentioning in prose is enough. TJ Spyke 02:58, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Did you see impact! last night? I'd say from Sting attacking the MEM and the subsequent beatdown he received that he's no longer part of the group, hence no longer MEM Godfather. DonMEGĂ|60645 14:32, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Right now it's nothing but speculation that he is out of the group. Officially he is still a member of the MEM. Groups in the past have attacked their own members and kept them in (the nWo comes to mind). TJ Spyke 14:39, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, but when nWo members got beat down, they didn't get an impassioned "It's all about the Benjamins" speech from Kevin Nash. I'm wiling to accept your logic for now though. DonMEGĂ|60645 20:40, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have no doubt Sting will officially be kicked out next week, I am just saying that officially he is still in. According to TNA, Samoa Joe is now a member, but not Matt Morgan, and Sting is still in. TJ Spyke 20:44, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in The Main Event Mafia

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of The Main Event Mafia's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 04:57, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
