I need to add a reference to verify Mahomet Thomas Phillips war record, as I am told family knowledge is dubious content! The family have proof and his forces war record shows this. Weimeranerman 10:44, 12 December 2022 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Weimeranerman (talk • contribs)
Possibly, by 'forces war record' you mean his medal index card? This is downloadable from The National Archives website (the ref is WO-372-15-226815) but does not contain much info: RFA, service number, Cpl, and medals (Victory and BWM). It does not give "Theatre of war first served in" so he only served in UK. Nedrutland (talk) 11:00, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It may not be correct he only served in the UK. These medals were only awarded soldiers who served the war only in the UK if they had been anti-aircraft artillery or had been in action under coastal sieges by the German navy.Cloptonson (talk) 08:44, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
