Magna Publishing is owned by the Perretta Family. This was deleted the other day. Here's a link to an article in the NY Post that confirms it: http://nypost.com/2012/08/31/popstars-porn-kin/
The article says: "Popstar!, a popular magazine for teen girls that Planet Hollywood International founder Robert Earl sold in May, was bought by a New Jersey publisher alleged to have ties to the hard-core adult magazine empire headed by Louis and Stephen Perretta.
"The Perrettas, through their Paramus-based Magna Publishing, own a host of X-rated magazines with titles including Swank, Playgirl, Lesbian Licks, Cherry Pop, Just 18, Celebrity Skin and Fox — which is billed as “home of the world’s dirtiest porn stars.”
"The brothers Perretta were involved in the acquisition of Popstar!, sources said, although the acquiring company was officially listed as eNoble Media."
Here's a link to another article that give more details about the company and the Perrettas: http://www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=50542
It says: "Joyce Snyder, an editor at Swank Magazine since the late 1970’s claims Swank Publications and Broadway Publishing [dba Faces Magazine] fired her because of age and sex discrimination, despite her stellar record as an editor.
"Snyder filed the suit August 24, 2011 in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County. Besides Swank, Snyder names Great Eastern Color Lithographic and Louis Perretta, the owner of Faces, as co-defendants." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2000:E86D:1D00:A169:1102:45EC:DDFA (talk) 20:24, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- This talk erroneously conflates Magna Publishing Group with Magna Publications. Information on Magnus Publishing group is available here: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Magna_Publishing_Group
- To clarify, Magna Publishing Group head quartered in Paramus, New Jersey is a pornography publishing company. Magna Publications, headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin is a publication and professional development company that serves the field of higher education. The two are unaffiliated.
