tentative editing

[edit]

Shalom, I tried to improve that outdated article. I cannot do much since I don't live in the US (but in Israel) and am not familiar with the ongoing situation there, still I did know of Agriprocessors problematic conditions of work and its closure. Though Rabbi Morris Allen and what ever can be connected to him is unknown to me, in the article he is made to appear not only controversial but also of dubious morality! could some body correct that?

Does any one know what the (11) refers to in the following sentence: Fred Rosner rightly describes this as "a classical text for the teaching of humane treatment of animals."(11)?

IMO it is necessary to add some facts about the situation in Israel which is a huge kosher market with a very poor legal regulations government supervision -I believe that there are 7 (or some other ridiculous number) employees only- the H.Ts. has been also promoted because of restaurants' and eateries' staff abuse

I'll read again the article an other day, my first accounter left me an uneasy feeling of a sloppy biased outdated and neglected work (sorry, I don't mean to humiliate the editors, I know how much time and effort is spent to achieve anything) but as I said there is a need for input from s.o. local -US- that can't be me, thanks, Hope&Act3! I've gone over this as part of the copy-editing drive; there was a big problem with original research, much of which I removed (about Agriprocessors and the justifications). Up-to-date and reliable sources are needed, and several deadlinks need to be traced to verify those sources. Fences&Windows 23:14, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The certification mark seems to now to active, and there's news reports linked to from the organisation's website:[1] This article needs updating. Fences&Windows 23:24, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
