Sayaw Beach Resort

[edit]

Sayaw is a transliteration for both “swallow” bird and the noun/verb for “dance” in Cebuano or Bisayan language. It seems that the locals in the past named this barangay according to the bird species (Sayaw – or Swallow in English, ‘Hirundinidae’ bird family) which are quite numerous in the area.

To the town center, it only takes less than 3 hours through any transport, which is around 61 kilometers from Cebu City. You can get to Sayaw Beach via bus, V-Hire (Van), taxi, or private vehicle.

The beach area is vast and spacious as there are no gigantic structures built for visitors except to the native huts and small concrete houses nearby.

The sand is somehow white because they are mostly from coral stones. Do not expect powdery sand instead some rocky beach but gentle enough to your soles.

Good news is that this place is for budget travelers. Second, it is not crowded even during high seasons. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sayawbeach (talkcontribs) 08:13, 20 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
