Terry Gilliam involvement.

It’s trivia, possibly irrelevant, but according to Terry Gilliam in his book “Gilliamesque”, in the late 60’s he worked as a copywriter in Hollywood. He had become bored with the work, and when he was assigned to “Madigan”, he tried to get fired by supplying weak material. His suggested tagline was, “Once He Was Happy … Now He’s Madigan!”.
