Coward vs Kipling
[edit]Kipling did not coin the phrase, although he did refer to "mad dogs" in "Kim" (as more sensible than Englishmen), so the credit goes correctly to Coward. In Coward's own description of the origin of the song, quoted in the main article, he makes no reference to Kipling, although it may of course be an allusion (conscious or unconscious). The only place I found the two linked online was in a chat forum. In any case, the (mis-)attribution to Kipling has no place here, but could be added to the article on the song with a suitable cite.
