Stub?

I know it's short, but what else COULD be added to this article? Epachamo 22:18, 2 August 2006 (UTC).[reply]

What about its history. Why is it called MacTutor for example? I had a vague memory that it started on HyperCard database and a google search turned up this link [1]. So its not just a web site about mathematical biography, its a whole hypercard stack about mathematics in general. Billlion 14:04, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I added that but when did its start. I seem to remember MacTutor in the mid 1980s? Billlion 14:12, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Some words about its inaccuracies might be in order. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.87.35.229 (talk) 18:13, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

J.J O'Connor Redirect

[edit]

I'm not particularly happy with the fact that John J O'Connor redirects to this page. Does anyone with a better Wikipedia knowledge than me agree, and know how to remove the redirect. Hopefully it would then be possible to construct a new article about the mathematician himself. EdwardRussell (talk) 17:07, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Added as a source for the first paragraph about the contents of the archive. Thanks for the reference! I also added two more. There is another (not currently used) at doi:10.1108/RR-08-2015-0205, but I don't seem to have subscription access to that one. —David Eppstein (talk) 07:04, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
