list of known aliases?

I suspect that there was a translation problem. In answer to the fifth allegation -- that one of his aliases was found on a list -- he replied:

"This is likely a mix up in names. If you find a Bilal on this list, I ask, am I the only Bilal in the world? I told the interrogators that I am a Kurdish Bilal, and that there are a lot Syrian Bilals.

This suggests to me that the word "alias" was not translated properly. It sounds to me as if Bilal was not an alias, at all, but a clan name, or a tribal name. -- Geo Swan 17:52, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
