International
[edit]I just added an interwiki link to the somewhat equivalent article "Maestro de campo" in the Spanish WP. This article currently speaks of the French armed forces, whereas the Spanish article covers hispanophone countries. This article could be made more international by covering both nations/cultures, and possibly more than just these two, like, say, the article on Colonel. --Jerome Potts (talk) 08:29, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]I propose Mestre de camp be merged into this page. These two ranks differ only in the orthography used for the word now spelled maitre. Much of the content of these two short articles is duplicated anyway. — ˈzɪzɨvə (talk) 01:15, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
