- "The team lost interest early on so redirected the game to feature a Japanese aesthetic and a speed metal soundtrack." - this doesn't appear to be backed up by the body (which says nothing about "losing interest"), or rather, the points in body could be summarised better.
- You are correct, the body doesn't say they lost interest, fixed.
- "and the west in 2009" - In the west is a bit vague; do you know where exactly it was made available in the west? I'm not familiar with the Virtual Console but I'm assuming anybody in any country could download the game through it. Would it therefore be more accurate to say it was released in English? Or "outside of Japan"?
- "the west" refers to the western world. Your assumption is incorrect, Nintendo runs different Virtual Console store fronts in each region. It was released on the Japanese VC first, then the North American and PAL VCs the next year. I think "the west" is the most accurate way to convey this, I linked western world too to make more clear. If you think "outside Japan" is better I'm OK with that too.
- "but are called options" - I'm confused by this, are you saying "options" is the name of the drones?
- Yea, the drones are literally called "options". Weird name. I replaced "options" with "drones" because the name really isn't important.
- "Sakoda only had four channels" - I don't know anything about composing music; what is a channel? Is there an appropriate wikilink for this?
- A channel is an audio track. When composing music for old games, composers used sound channels, one for each instrument. Perhaps a flute sound would be one channel, a bass drum would be another, a guitar would be another, etc.. The channels are composed individually then "stacked" atop each other to build a full song. Naturally, more sound channels means deeper, richer music. He could only use four channels with each song so he had to get creative to make the music sound whole and full. I linked multitrack recording, it seemed to be the closest.
- Why only 4 channels? The Megadrive has 6 FM channel + 3/noise PSG channels. Sakoda stated on his Facebook account that he composed all the musics using the BASIC MML on his Sony MSX2+ (since he reused the workflow previously set up for Aleste 2).
