dvd?
I heard a rumour someplace that there's going to be a DVD release of the unplugged concert that has previously unreleased footage? I'm too lazy to look this up. Anyone know if it's true? Ohemgee 17:11, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
There is in fact a Tawainese DVD edition (legit, pirate ? Studio: HQZS Taiwan): http://www.amazon.com/Nirvana-MTV-Unplugged-New-York/dp/B000JX1HTQ/
There's also an uncut video file transfered from VHS of this available on several P2P networks. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.94.87.167 (talk) 05:42, August 23, 2007 (UTC)

Cultural significance
I feel that this article could certainly use a bit more discussion of the cultural significance of this performance. Based on the time it came out and Nirvana's status it became something of an important cultural and generational moment for many people at the time. The article alludes to a bit of that, but in the end I merely get the impression that it was an important album for Nirvana, not the full extent of how much this is remembered by people of the relevant age at the time. 69.181.55.239 (talk) 10:26, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Southern Rock
I think we should add Southern Rock or Cowpunk since the Meat Puppets played some songs. 81.96.254.143 (talk) 17:08, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Update it
They should update that live album list to include the New(ish) Live At Reading Album. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.65.57.246 (talk) 15:34, December 2010 (UTC)
Flowers
Does anyone know the name of the type of flowers that were onstage during this show? I recall reading that the type were hand-selected by Kurt Cobain for the atmosphere that they lent to the performance. Axeman (talk) 02:46, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- This has since been added -- stargazer lilies. I also added a wiki link in case readers aren't familiar with the species (I wasn't). Brhiba (talk) 05:19, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
Inaccuracy
Though it's sourced, the sentence "The group shied away from playing its better-known songs; the only hit the band performed was its 1992 single 'Come as You Are'." is incorrect. "All Apologies" was also a hit song. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.202.211.214 (talk) 05:07, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
- While that's true now, it wasn't a hit at the time. All Apologies wasn't released as a single until after the Unplugged performance. - State of Love and Trust (talk) 07:39, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
- Good point State of Love and Trust. I added one word which I believe concisely clarifies the point, as such: "...the only contemporary hit the band performed..." Brhiba (talk) 05:13, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
Grunge?
Maybe there's been conversation about this before, but is anything on this album really grunge?--TangoTizerWolfstone (talk) 03:17, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
- I came to the talk page to say the same thing. Grunge was much more about the media needing a way to describe all of the Seattle bands than it was a description of the music. We don't need to use it in 2015 to describe Nirvana. JSFarman (talk) 21:45, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
Chart and certification sections
@QuintusPetillius:, why do you insist on merging these two sections together? They have no more in common with each other than track listing and personnel, and particularly in this instance, each section is dense enough as it is with tables and entries. Is there an identifiable benefit for readers that I am missing, or just aesthetic preference? Other articles featuring this, as you said, should not matter (WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS); WP:MOS advocates stylistic consistency within an article, not across articles.
