Lead

[edit]
  • organised -> organized
  • 'as well as help shun critics who deemed Carey a possible studio artist' What?
  • 'In an attempt to prove Carey's live vocals were not derived from studio synthesizers, the performance earned generally positive review from music critics. They praised Carey's live vocal ability, and felt the EP and video helped showcase her talent.' You talked about a view of critics on Carey before (on the phrase above) in the lead. Try to merged them, since they both refer to the performance.
Done. By the way, I removed the part: "as well as help shun critics who deemed Carey a possible studio artist". What it means is that the show was organized to show critics that Carey is not just some studio artist and that she can really sing. Novice7 (talk) 14:38, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Background

[edit]

  • 'The show's purpose was to present name artists'. To present name artists?
Fixed. Name --> well-known. Novice7 (talk) 14:38, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reception

[edit]
Critical response
[edit]
  • Critical reception -> Critical response
  • 'Additionally, they felt Carey's performance of "I'll Be There" was "killer" and concluded their review'. Aren't you refering to the Entertainment Weekly review? Why they?
Well, the writer is unknown and so is their gender. So, we refer using "they". Novice7 (talk) 14:38, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I see. Ok, then. :) - Saulo Talk to Me 23:12, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
