M Shadows page/ Val singing on new CD

[edit]

It clearly says on both the wikipedia page for the new CD and the packet for the new CD that Val isn't the one singing in ALPOH so whoever keeps making it say that it is should stop editing it. Juliette Commagere is the person who sings on ALPOH. Val ONLY screams the very first scream in the song scream.

About MIA

[edit]

The part about MIA and the military may be able to be cited. There may have been blogs posted on their Myspace about those thing. www.myspace.com/avengedsevenfold

Wow.... this is a really short article.

I thought i read more on here once...

There was, once. Some of it was bad, but some was accurate, and I'd like to find the person who raped the article of it's content before.

  • I've been keeping an eye on the article, keeping it clear of a lot of junk that people keep adding to it. If you review the kinds of things I've been removing, you'll find that it is a generally poorly-spelled mix of trivia of questionable legitimacy and other stuff that doesn't belong here. --Improv 16:56, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not too familiar with working this but I thought also there was a lot more to read, and didn't it say in the trivia before that he is a non - smoker? If so is this true? —Preceding unsigned comment added by B.Shadows (talkcontribs) 09:19, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's true. There hasn't been mention or indication of whether or not he ever smoked, but he did say in an interview around Christmas 2007 that he also stopped drinking. He only drinks on occasions now (like birthday parties, etc) because he's been taking care of himself so he can perform every night. I'd assume that if he preserves his voice by not drinking on tour, he probably doesn't smoke either. I'll keep searching for the video...it was on Youtube, but I can't remember exactly which one.

Cleanup notice

[edit]

The article needs a lot of work to be decent, partly because existing content is poor (bad grammar, etc), partly because people keep adding junk to it, and partly because it doesn't have enough of the basics (date/place of birth, etc). --Improv 09:11, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

you guyz really need to get more information on th is rock band not just ther ful names and about how there journey was in being a succesfull band i an stuf duh!!

image does not help the article. Removing it.

[edit]

Please don't re-add the image. It has a visible copyright marker on it, and is very unattractive. --Improv 03:12, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

=Other appearances

[edit]

Theres one missing that was on here before. M. Shadows did vocals for another band on myspace. I looked for it, but couldn't find it. if someone can find it and readd it, it'd be nice. Darkervisions (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 03:07, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

update

[edit]

maybe there should be included something about his throat sugery?--Nytemunkey 01:27, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps, but remember, thats not why he doesn't scream anymore. BoaDrummer 22:41, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

possible POV?

[edit]

In the first paragraph of the bio, last sentence, it says, "In fact Avenged Sevenfold's new sound is largely because of the bands ability to progress as artists since signing with major label Warner Brothers." Personally, I think this is slightly POV or just an unfounded statement. If nobody has any objections within a few days, I'll delete it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Boadrummer (talkcontribs) 22:43, 11 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Yeah, that sounds fine with me.--Tyhart87 04:51, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:MShadows.jpg

[edit]

Image:MShadows.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

i think...

[edit]

i think someone should make it clear to people that he has a girlfriend name Val and that he is currently engaged to her. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.83.243.192 (talk) 23:00, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good Charlotte

[edit]

Didn't he do the backing vocals to "The River" by good charlotte on the cd Good Morning Revival? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.68.96.63 (talk) 17:46, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shadows' vocals

[edit]

In the 'vocal style' section it says that on Sounding the Seventh Trumpet/Waking the Fallen he used screaming and 'guttural vocals'. Guttural vocals refer to the death growl, and if you have heard the death growl before, you know that's not what Shadows does. Does anyone mind if I drop the guttural vocals claim, and make it only say that he screamed? as that is a better description of his vocals... Xanthic-Ztk (talk) 03:47, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion?

[edit]

This article has had notices for four months now. And it does not reach the music guidelines, should it be deleted? 62.30.219.79 (talk) 22:50, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
