The article places Máiréad in the 1983 births category, which looks right to me. However, it also refers to her finishing her post-graduate study (graduate school?) in 1991. That would make her 7 or 8 years old at that time. The dates in her Career section can't possibly be right, can they? --Idont Havaname (Talk) 04:11, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Good catch, I'm not sure where that came from (possibly came from one of the other girls' articles when I was standardising them). It's been removed. Cheers! -- HuntsterT • @ • C11:54, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, because there is no source that I know of naming her birth year. Otherwise I would have reverted. If you know of one, by all means, add it in. — Huntster (t • @ • c)07:01, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
"After finishing her post-graduate studies, Nesbitt joined the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in 1991, at the young age of 16." This seems a little strange to me. Finishing post-graudate studies at 16? That would mean she started an undergraduate degree at age 10 or 11...It doesn't add up —Preceding unsigned comment added by Retro2112 (talk • contribs) 17:34, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just an FYI- I know in Europe sometimes post-graduate is actually referring to "after highschool". My friend lived there and said that in some places the high schools are more specialized-like a technical school or college and not like what we Americans think of as high school. Not sure about Ireland specicifally, but this would lead to the confusion about her age and when she graduated etc. It is also possible she is just really smart and did indeed finish high school at 16 (like my friend) and go off to University earlier than most.~~BellaMia —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.126.225.111 (talk) 19:51, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I'm aware, there is not a reliable source for year of birth. For now, I will be removing it. However, if there is a source out there that gives this information, I will not contest its return. Emtigereyes (talk) 23:15, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Lots of luck. Máiréad Nesbitt is almost infamously guarded about her birthdate as well as other information about her biography and personal life. The behavior is part of her mystique, her persona. Rammer (talk) 04:30, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, IMDb is edited by regular folk, just like a Wiki is, so it is not considered a reliable source for biographical info. — Huntster (t@c)05:31, 25 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
